ABOUT THE PROJECT
Project for college assignment. The brief is to give a proper branding to traditional dishes, to raise their image so it would not be considered old-fashion, but appear more 'prestigious' instead.

Sriwijaya is a culinary business that runs pempek outlets. They offer pempek that is made of fresh ingredients and authentic recipe, thus the quality is guaranteed. Freshness, originality and great taste are their priority. I have seen many other pempek outlets use Palembang landmark (Ampera Bridge, etc), fishes or even the pempek itself as the visual identity. So this time I just want to try something different. Tracking back to its origin and history, pempek was once made and discovered by a Chinese fisherman in Palembang. So I choose the Chinese fisherman, as the origin, to be the main visual identity of Sriwijaya.
