Indonesia is named ‘the lungs of the world’ as it is home to the earth's third largest tropical rainforest as well as where 10 percent of the global forest-cover is located. But in recent years an equivalent of 3 to 5 hectares of forest per minute has been lost due to illegal logging and land conversion. REDD+ is committed to implement ways of forest conservation as well as preventing deforestation and forest degradation.
