Drawn by Faber Castell Pencil Color (it really feels damn nice to move my pencil color again since the last time >///<) . I did some clearing by photoshop CS3 portable, and add a frame by photoscape.
STORY OF THIS PICTURE:
Just when Yuina thought that the sun heat would melt her, she looked to the sky and saw some red dragonflies hovering around her. It often happens to me. Whenever I take a walks and feel really tired, I will look to the sky. The blue sky or the flying birds, butterflies, dragonflies (any creature that have wings heheh) will instantly cure my fatigue and suddenly I feel better and more energized to continue my journey...
The perspective is really hard for me. But the more difficult was drawing the dragonflies. Especially their transparent wings and theirs patterns. PHEW! I think I should train to draw dragonflies more.... (Yeah I drew dragonflies at the very last time to fill the blank spaces)... They are really wonderful creatures, I just realized it after drawing them. In drawing the dragonflies, I was helped by a tutorial made by Ian Wongkar. His tutorials are really detailed and amazing.
Anyway, Aka Tombo or red dragonfly appears in the end of summer season and becomes the sign of upcoming autumn. So the upload time is really clicking nee?
And I found a song titled Aka Tombo in youtube. It's really melancholic and mellow. Check them out. Here is the lyrics in Japanese and English version...
Yûyake-koyake no akatombo.
Owarete mitano wa itsu no hi ka.
Yama no hatake no kuwa no mi o
Kokago ni tsunda wa maboroshi ka.
Jûgo de nêya wa yome ni yuki,
Osato no tayori mo taehateta.
Yûyake koyake no akatombo -
Tomatte iru yo, sao no saki.

English Translation
Dragonflies as red as sunset
Back when I was young
In twilight skies, there on her back
I'd ride When the day was done
Mountain fields in late November
Long ago it seems
Mulberry trees and treasures we would gather
Was it only just a dream?
