Noken was becoming popular since the president election of Indonesia last July. 'Noken' - traditional multipurpose bag - was used as a ballot tool, replacing ballot box in the Papua regional leadership elections. Then, Noken seems to have negative meaning since this 'noken' system was found to be problematic or tricky because the ballot papers that are put into noken were not be perforated, as they were perforated by poll workers at polling stations.

Well, actually I just want to tell that noken - the traditional bag of Papua - is a special bag with very nice values and meanings. It symbolizes hardwork, since Papuan wear it wherever they go, everything they do, to bring everything. It symbolizes the woman's maturity, because Papuan woman who is able to wove noken, means that she has been mature. It symbolizes love, since mothers bring their babies in it.
