Visual perception as we know it requires at least three basic elements to work—light, an object which reflects the light, and a perceiver to decode the information transmitted by the light.
Luminescence//Iridescence explores the methods employed by living organisms to manipulate light in order to affect the perceiver's behavior—attracting potential suitors, deterring hostile creatures, etc.
