ABOUT THE PROJECT
Books Kinokuniya, meaning 'The Store in Kii Province', is the largest bookstore chain in Japan,
with more than 80 stores worldwide. As the largest bookstore in Japan, Books Kinokuniya needs
a fresher look in order to help growing its expansion worldwide. With this rebrand,
Books Kinokuniya now boasts a modern look and feel, while still paying ode to its Japanese roots
by adapting the shape and form of traditional Japanese stamp into the new Kinokuniya mark,
which also embodies the spirit of excellence that has always been the core value for Books Kinokuniya.
