Golek Sri Rejeki Dance Magic Moving Image Book

This book is about Golek Sri Rejeki, a traditional dance originated form Surakarta-Central Java. The target reader is young female, age range between 9-12 years old.
Barrier grid animation technique is used to visualize the eleven basic movements of the dance. This technique implements the optical illusion to create movements.
The book construction itself make it possible for every movement to automatically animate as we turn or open the page.
Frame to frame images are needed to create a barrier grid animation of the movement.
Each movement needs about 8-12 frames.
Above is the steps of one of the movement, named “Nikelwarti Laras”.
There are eleven basic movements of Golek Sri Rejeki Dance
Two essential part of the animation : The subjective contour and the barrier grid layer.
Beside the movements, this book also talks about some basic information related to the dance, such as the history, costume and accessories, dance composition and also the hand positions.
