Which one do you prefer? The left (semi-realist lululuz) or the right one (anime-style)?
At first I drew the left one coz I wanted to try the shading style I saw on one of Lintankleen's artworks (a local mangaka in my country on instagram). But then I realized that her face turned much different than her original design. And is it only me or her nose looks like Simba OTL OTL ... Thus I drew the other one showing her real face in anime-style (so I could get sleep in peace lolololoz).
The semi-realist one (or that is what it is supposed to be lolz) has a big face and eats too much space thus I couldn't draw the red dragonflies... like what I did to the right one. I wonder if the two red dragonflies make the picture looks too crowded... but yeah just let it be.
Yuina Hamasaki is one of my characters in my upcoming story titled Harukaze no Sekai. It is a story about the relationships between four young girls, each has their own issues. Yuina is the youngest of them, 14 years old and still studying in the 2nd grade of junior high.
The hanakotoba (Japanese language flower) of sunflowers is Adoration, Loyalty, and Longevity. In the story she is actually has a crush to a certain boy. But unfortunately the boy is after her important friend (which is also one of the 4 main characters in Harukaze no Sekai). Hence she couldn't do anything but supporting them and adoring the boy without even able to convey her real feeling. No one realizes this due to her cheerful persona.
While dragonflies also one symbol of loyalty (oh please just moving on, Yuina... sad XD)
