Being healthy means having a diet that fulfills a person's nutritional needs without going over the recommended daily calorie intake. Yet increased production of processed foods, rapid urbanization, and changing lifestyles have led to a shift in dietary patterns. “People are now consuming more foods
high in energy, fats, free sugars, and salt/sodium,” says WHO.
How about in Indonesia? 75% actually want to have a healthier diet, yet the people who practice it keeps on declining. We are health conscious! But...we don't want to work for it.
These past few years, more urban Indonesians choose to eat out than cooking at home. This trend is pushed out even further with the emergence of digital wallets and online food delivery services.
Cal~o~Meter is created as a diet assistant to help users maintain a balanced diet by recording users’ food purchases via digital wallets.
