This work tries to portray VCD students as koi fishes, swimming through the harsh spiky and wavy waters of VCD major. The work was inspired by the Chinese legend of the Dragon Koi, where a group of Koi fishes persevered and swam upstream to the top of a waterfall. This work also shows growth using the transition between colors and size of the Koi fishes. The shape of an arrow depicts the students journey from small baby Koi with little knowledge and experience, begin swimming upstream through the harsh waters and growing in the process into a fully grown red koi ready to face the outside world.
