Such an encouraging words that can lift up one's spirit to work and enjoy the fruit of one's labor. Coming out from the great mind of legendary writer Pramoedya Ananta Toer through his character from his novel Bumi Manusia / The Earth of Mankind. Nyai Ontosoroh, a strong, independent, intellectual woman and a mother even though knowing the fact that she is a 'Nyai'. With her tragic background it seems she bound for a tragic end. Here is my attempt to depict her and design her character with digital painting technique and I try to achieve the traditional painting look.
