This is an initiative project of my school about the Integrated marketing Communication of Museum Mpu Tantular Surabaya

Musuem Mpu Tantular is located in Sidoarjo, East Java. This museum has 3 kind of collection according to its era. Pre-history, Classical, and Colonial. Nowadays, museum get less visitor especially the younger generations. I think, young generation has a crucial part in this role.

My ex president said "Don't you ever forget the history". That statement make me think so hard and hard and then i find that history is the most important thing of the nation. To build the nation people should learn from the history. If people won't, then? If the younger people won't, then? The heroes, the histories, and the nation itself maybe in danger. So that, i choose an elementary students as my target. Because i want a history be learnt since you're a kid. The Idea is about Inspiring the younger, educating with cultural and historical knowledge with fun way, bring the new brand image of museum that suits to younger, they visit the museum, then give them award for visiting always.

"The visual element" The idea is combining the Garuda Pancasila as my national ideology with Batik (one of the heritage treasure from Indonesia) to be a pattern that i called Garuda Jaya, or in english we mention it The Glory Garuda.

Here we go! 1. INSPIRING THE YOUNGER THROUGH COMIC AND FICTIONAL CHARACTER For the first, I created the mascot of museum. His name is Tular. Tular has the personality that depicting the mission and vision of museum Mpu Tantular itself. It is created with a elementary uniform and 3 other wardrobe that represent the Era of collection in museum, Pre-history, Classical, and Colonial.

2. CREATING THE COMIC! after creating the character, i continued to make the comic. Why comic? Simple, kids love it. The comic tells us about Tular who traveling across the time. He's got the great experiences of being in Pre-history, Classical, and Colonial era. This comic not only amusing but educative also.

3. PUBLICATION! If we have had the comic, then? We should spread it out! Here are the poster of promoting the comic indeed. It'll be put in every school in Surabaya.

4. MORE INFO AND SEE THE GAME! Kids should learn more right? Every week there'd be an educational poster about history and culture of Indonesia. Wait, kids need a game too aren't they? Yeah! The poster divided into two, educational poster and promotional poster. The promotional one is to promote the card game of museum Mpu tantular.

5. LET'S PLAY!

The card game was created with 3 different look that represent the Era of collection in museum, Pre-history, Classical, and Colonial. This card game may helps kid to learn about history and also play with their friends. After creating Tular, comics, educating, and launched the card game, the curiosity of kids may EXPLODE! They want the real, they want to see it, they want to VISIT the MUSEUM. That's the goal!

6. CARING, VISIT MORE GET MORE! When the kids start to visit the museum, they'll get a museum journal. Journal?

Yeah, Kids need to resume about what they got in museum right? The journal also contains the important day of Indonesia such as the independence day, mothers day, etc, it may remind the kids about the historical event in the past. It also contains some great quotes from the man in the past.

Whoooooaaaa! Visit more get more! Every visit may get a stamp. Collect it and find out what you'll get.

7.PRIZES! Every kids who adore their cartoon character would love to have the tees right? Yup! This is the prize for every kids who collect more than 10 stamp for visiting the museum. What a nice journey :)
