King Benedict
May 2014
I have a cat, his name is Benedictus Michael Cong. Every feature of him is simply enticing. He's got the perfect proportions of a cat and being a tabby feline, he's got all sorts of lines covering his faded-gray based fur. Sheer and bold, long and short, straight and curved. As for the crown and the title 'King', they're depictions of his daily attitude : graceful, strong, charming, somewhat bossy, and little bit cocky. Such a royal in his own way.
BY THE WINDOW
October 2014
Here's another cat of mine, Ms. Cali. I was depicting her when she was little and used to sit by the window, her gaze wiping across the landscape. Either she was waiting for someone to come home or she madly dreamed to get out past the glass barrier, no one really knows.
FEMINISM
February 2015
The fact that 99% of calico cats are female made me think that they should be the new symbol of feminism. They're blessed with the richness of their natural color (which they can pass into hundreds generations of cats to come) and with strong instincts of a mother and a hunter.
