I made this piece for the "Give the Gift of Art" challenge contest.
Tools used: Wacom Bamboo pen tablet + Photoshop CS6 + blood, sweat, and tears.
Concept:
Ok wow so I think this is going to be quite a long description. First, it's clear I'm presenting this piece of artwork for the man I love the most <3 So the idea behind this is that (I think it's pretty obvious), she's giving her most precious possession, that is her heart, to her lover. The title "Heaven Heart" means that he made her feel like she's in heaven and she feels that deeply in her heart. That's why you can see that in the picture, her heart is glowing from the inside. I want to picture that her heart has it's own light because of the love she and her lover shares.
The halo behind her head, would symbolizes holy/heaven like feeling, I've seen so many classic paintings of angels with and or holy beings with halos behind their heads, so yeah. The meadow of flowers as the background would represents the beauty/paradise of her feelings for him, and also freedom. I always see meadows like this as a "paradise of freedom". Why? Because it seems like it's endless. You can never see the end of it, and it's just so beautiful. Plus, with all the sun ray and light, everything makes it looks so warm and nice.
You can also notice there's a red string on her right pinky finger. It's of course, based on the famous believe "the red string of fate". Most people would understand this, but maybe not all lol (it's from a chinese believe culture). Basically, they said that soulmates have this red string on their pinky fingers that connects them. It may be tangled or long, but it will never and can never be broken or cut. So yeah, I do believe you guys would get that.
