I take the concept of a future where the family has a place to stay underwater and they are a family who hold to their culture. I take the culture of Batik Liek's pattern from West Sumatera, Indonesia, because Batik is a craft heritage from Minangkabau (West Sumatera) people.
The term "batik tanah liek" is a local naming at Minangkabau that means "clay batik". Why is it called Batik Tanah Liek? The answer is because they soak the cloth that (has not been patterned) to clay. This process may take more than 24 hours to get the perfect soil color that blends with the fabric. Batik motif Land Liek mostly shaped ropes, leaves, geometric patterns, pucuak rabuang, Saik galamai, Itiak pulang patang.
I combine the "future" and "ethnic" by the sea that can be used as a habitat of humans by using submarine as a home shelter in the future because in the future the land has sinked to the bottom of sea. Here I am telling the daily life of families who do their usual activities (chatting, bathing, eating, playing badminton, fishing) are also modern (DJ and club) and I do not forget to put their culture heritage of Tanah Liek in family room, kitchen and bedroom.
