Here's my take on Kuntilanak in my upcoming project.
Kuntilanak or Pontianak as the rest of the world knows her, is one of the most famous ghost in Indonesian folklore.
They are said to be the ghost of women that died in childbirth and reborn into monstrosities that feed on the flesh and blood of the living, hence making them the Malay version of Vampires.
Although they are famous throughout the country, what most people don't know is that their story originates from the island of Borneo, specifically the town of Pontianak. As to how they can be found in other parts of the country, some things just remain a mystery.
