An artwork for the cover of my new comic project called "Bisikan mayat-mayat hidup" or "Whispers of the Dead". The goal was to emulate the 70's B-movie feel of Zombie genre and pulp era. Haven't put the title yet (it suppose to be in the lower right area of the image). Completely done with acrylic paint.

For my second comic book, i produced two variant covers: Fire and water cover. The style itself is the retro movie poster and some cheesy romance novel.

A work in progress illustration project of a book that i got commissioned. This is the one of the character, a (young) queen and a warrior.

This is the third chapter of 'Call of Cthulhu' illustration. I try to emulate Bernie Wrightson's style from 'Frankenstein' but..i guess its still a long way to go. This is when the great Cthulhu, the spawn of the stars finally appear from the huge monolith. Although there are tons of artists's depiction of Cthulhu, i decided to drew him (or it?) in obscure shadow because i think the creature is 'undescribable and huge'. The only element that i keep are the tentacles.

My last assignment at school. I used acrylic and the collage was done with photoshop. the image itself is about the fall of Sukarno (indonesia's first president).

Another image of Disney-ish superheroine that i did. This time is Powergirl.

This is an illustration of Drs, Suyadi or famously known as Pak Raden. He is the conceptor of an Indonesian puppet show called 'Si Unyil' (the hand-puppet that he hold in this image). Pak Raden is also one of the character from the show. Drs. Suyadi (Pak Raden) is also a painter and a story teller (pendongeng-in Indonesian), some time ago many, many artists in Indonesia joined forces to raise a charity to help him. This illustration done in acrylic paint. A commissioned project for Comical Magz (Jakarta, Indonesia).

"Methal Pertiwi" or roughly translated "The magnificent world of Methal". This is the cover for my personal comic book titled "Methal Pertiwi : the ultimate, tougher edition". It basically an extended cut of the previous book (the original book only had 22 pages, this one will contain 90 pages). About the cover art itself, it was made using acrylic and the title font made using Photoshop. The style was influenced by Frank Frazetta, Ken Kelly and Mark Texeira. The hero himself influnced by He-man and Skeletor.

This is the cover of my latest comic book project called "Methal Pertiwi" or metal universe (in English). It's an adventure/ comedy comic. The story is about Jago Rocck (the main protagonist, the one with the skull face), a mysterious warrior with unknown origin's journey to find his one true love. Currently published in Bahasa only. I did this piece with acrylic paint, the only digital usage in this image is the font. I tried to combine Conan the Barbarian's imagery, Manowar's album covers, Masters of the Universe elements with Indonesian's culture.

Just a quick nostalgia. Lion Maru is a Japanese tokusatsu show, i watched it in betamax when i was still a kid. I'm just too lazy using photoshop layers...so, behold the 'suck-o-sity'

I love Kaiju (monster) movies and gamera series are my favorites (beside Godzilla, of course). This is my University's assignment and i tried to do acrylic painting. Despite the flaws, i'm satisfied with this piece.

Nothing fancy here. Just bought a new brush and flex it. After that, i decided to add 'half tone' effect. Just for fun.. (Oh, Dr. Zaius always right about his remark)
