This is a school assignment about Creative Writing that asked students to make a series of copywriting about Suryanagara, a fake city located in East Java. The brief was given in the form of long paragraph text about Suryanagara. Consist of general information, human resources, geographic, and economic condition. Then the students were asked to find 10 essential facts about Suryanagara to then be used as reference material to create a logo, tagline, and advertising concepts.
The logotype is using a humanist font to depict the warmth of this city to welcome both visitor, tourist, and investor. The blue and green color is used to convey the broad range of Suryanagara's industry. Ranging From Bandeng, shrimp, to rice.
“Investasi yang baik” means a good investment. Suryanagara offers numerous advantages for investment. Starting from its strategic geographical conditions, abundant labor, up to its modern infrastructure. All of these advantages then condensed into one tagline, Investasi yang baik, as a statement of their current condition as the best city for investment in East Java.
After creating the logo and the tagline, students are asked to create an ad with still referring to the 10 essential facts about Suryanagara and using the logo and the tagline that has been made. Images for the ads have also been provided previously by the lecturer. Students are given four images and are required to make three ads based on the four images.
