I made it for a competition held by re: ON Comics, one local magazine comic in my country (www.instagram.com/reoncomics/?…). The characters above are the mascots of the magazine. I was so excited when they created a new character named Noer which is a girl using green hijab this Ramadhan. She was released along with the competition to draw her fan art and I decided to participate.

I drew this while I was knocked off by heavy flu. Every time I went near the paper to finish the artwork I sneezed! And it was the night before the deadline! I had to sacrifice my night sleep to finish it. XD I could say I've been through trials in order to submit this artwork on time, including my instagram and FB account which suddenly stopped working when I was gonna to submit this artwork. Aaaa...

In the original concept of the character, Noer is a girl who has high financial intuition. She is an entrepreneur. In Ramtadhan she likes to sell takjils (snacks for open fasting) and really good in tempting people to buy her products XD So in my concept, I made her keep reading Qur'an diligently while waiting for customers. As reading Qur'an brings virtues especially in Ramadhan.
