TIGER HEAD (PERSONAL ART)

The drawing consist of a tiger's head, mixed between Japanese irezumi style and batik pattern.
This drawing took several days (start from the rough sketch to final) to finish.
Rough sketch (i spent some time to experiment with the eyes and ears. I tried to mix between Japanese Irezumi style and batik pattern while also still have my own drawing style in the drawing.
Lineart (i make sure some of the brush strokes have an "inky" style just like Irezumi style). To make sure the drawing has the "old style", i put some texture to make it look old and classic.

This tiger head drawing is a personal gift dedicated for my Ji-koh (aunt), who passed away from a sudden heart attack last July. She's a flat-faced, tough & strict person that shows compassion in her own way. Her most favourite animal is tiger and she owns a lot of tiger ornaments and statues inside her house.
